Operations Improvement US offers thermodynamic analysis services.

In this project, the state of a packaged product after it left spiral freezing was analyzed to determine if sufficient heat could be removed to increased capacity.

1. Mini temperature loggers were set up to ride along with the product through a spiral freezer.
   
   
2. Low cost, custom containers were fabricated to protect the loggers.
   
   
3. Design of Experiments techniques were applied to optimize the number of measurements.
   
   
4. Analysis revealed that an excess of heat was being removed.
   
   
5. Operating curves were provided to Engineering resulting in lower energy consumption and higher speed capability.
