Batch Reporting

For this client, Operations Improvement US specified, integrated, procured and installed shop floor computer stations with touch screens, signal capture hardware for existing scales and meters, a dedicated server, printers, barcode scan guns, custom software, training documentation and startup. Recipes were available from SAP as were the warehoused inventory of the components required.

 
Operations Improvement US created a low cost process that:
  1. Ties the business office and shop floor together

  2. Captures, formats and delivers recipe quantities from SAP to the shop floor

  3. Captures the ingredient lot numbers and quantities used to make each batch

  4. Formats the information for each batch into custom reports

  5. Allows for recipe adjustments on the shop floor based on quality analysis

  6. Provides training instructions to the shop floor to match the product being formulated

  7. Provides and documents allergen aware changeover instructions based on batch types

  8. Uses existing meters and scales where possible

  9. Provides statistical results for improvement efforts

  10. Provides variance analysis to correct loss points and quality deviations
