Gainsharing

Gainsharing

Gainsharing is a process that rewards a facility's membership for identifiable incremental savings as measured through a well communicated, very structured basis. Based on years of development in very successful organizations, Operations Improvement US offers a mature gainsharing process.

In this project's design, gains are:

  1. Identifiable - did not allow any soft savings.

  2. Incremental - savings were on top of any other productivity increases.

  3. Rewarded at a fixed % of realized savings.

  4. Used a project gainsharing life with starting and ending payout time periods.

  5. Were shared depending on individual measurements such as attendance.

  6. Utilized a continuous improvement leadership council to provide a forum for improvement ideas to come forward and be developed further.
