GainsharingGainsharing is a process that rewards a facility's membership for identifiable incremental savings as measured through a well communicated, very structured basis. Based on years of development in very successful organizations, Operations Improvement US offers a mature gainsharing process. In this project's design, gains are:
- Identifiable - did not allow any soft savings.
- Incremental - savings were on top of any other productivity increases.
- Rewarded at a fixed % of realized savings.
- Used a project gainsharing life with starting and ending payout time periods.
- Were shared depending on individual measurements such as attendance.
- Utilized a continuous improvement leadership council to provide a forum for improvement ideas to come forward and be developed further.
