 Batch ReportingFor this client, Operations Improvement US specified, integrated, procured and installed shop floor computer stations with touch screens, signal capture hardware for existing scales and meters, a dedicated server, printers, barcode scan guns, custom software, training documentation and startup. Recipes were available from SAP as were the warehoused inventory of the components required.   Operations Improvement US created a low cost process that:
- Ties the business office and shop floor together
- Captures, formats and delivers recipe quantities from SAP to the shop floor
- Captures the ingredient lot numbers and quantities used to make each batch
- Formats the information for each batch into custom reports
- Allows for recipe adjustments on the shop floor based on quality analysis
- Provides training instructions to the shop floor to match the product being formulated
- Provides and documents allergen aware changeover instructions based on batch types
- Uses existing meters and scales where possible
- Provides statistical results for improvement efforts
- Provides variance analysis to correct loss points and quality deviations
